We are excited to announce....

that we are having another girl. We are beyond excited!! Kenadee has said it was a girl from the day we found out so she is happy to see she was right. We took her with us and she was so good. I think she thought we were a little crazy when we would tell her that that was the babies hand or foot. The baby was super active and then finally she calmed down so we could see what she was.

I am surprised at how many people said we were having a girl. Only three people said a boy. Again we are super excited we are having another girl, infact Dave and I both were secretly hoping for a girl but Of course we would have been happy either way. Maybe soon I will post a picture of the baby bump.

What is your guess?

We go in monday to findout what we are having and are super excited. Dave thinks we are having a boy and I think we are having a girl. What do you think we are having?

Also for those wondering Dave's mom came home from the hospital a few days ago which is great! She is still very weak and tired but it looks like everything will be fine. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

Dave got home yesterday from California. Kenadee and I picked him up from the airport around 12:45 in the afternoon. We have missed him so much and were beyond excited to get him home. Dave's mom is still in the hospital. Dave wanted to stay until she came home from the doctor but we have no idea when they will be sending her home and Dave had to come back to work and could not miss school. Nothing has really changed with his mom, she is still very tired and very weak. On Sunday she was able to each a sandwich which is the most she has eaten in a week. I will keep you posted on her progress.

Its been a crazy few days!

Tuesday morning Dave and I are watching the news and they say this girl was killed in a car accident. When we heard the name we couldnot believe it. We know the girl and her family. They were in our ward when we lived in Provo. Kenadee and I went to her funeral today.

Another crazy thing for the week, Dave's mom had not been feeling good for the past few days and she was having flu like symptoms not a big deal. Well after 4 days she had not improved. A friend came over to check on her and she was so weak. She ended up going to the hospital and come to find out she never had the flu her body was starting to shut down. She has now been in the hospital for 5 days and will for sure be there for another 5 days. We booked Dave a flight the day after she went in so Dave flew out yesterday morning and gets back Monday afternoon. He has just been sitting next to her in the hospital.

Time for a new bed!

Kenadee climbed out of her crib for the first time last week. Most of you are probably surprised that she was still in a crib, but she was totally happy in her crib and so was I cause when I put her down at night the rest of the evening was mine and Dave's. We have now converted Kenadee's crib to a toddler bed and she loves having a big girl bed with princess blankets. It has been a big adjustment for all of us, more of a fun adjustment for Kenadee and not so fun for Dave and I. I have lost count of how many times I have had to walk her back to her bed. She ends up not going to bed until 11:00. I hope we get over this stage soon! Does anyone have advice cause I sure would love to hear it!

Suburban Heresy!

If you have not visited this site you really need to. She is an amazing makeup artist. On her site she gives you make up tips like how to apply your make up, what colors to where, etc. The link is on the side of my blog www.suburbanheresy.com . If you enjoy make up or need help this site will not disappoint you.

I forgot what it feels like!

Kenadee is 2 1/2 so it has not been that long since I have been pregnant, but I guess it has been long enough to forget what it feels like. I have only thrown up once which is so nice but I feel like I am going to throw up most of the day. I am 11 weeks and 1 day today so I should be almost out of the gross phase ( I hope). I know being sick is a good sign so I can deal with this. This pregnancy has been exactly like my pregnancy with Kenadee except that I am starting to show A LOT faster this time and I am totally fine with that. I just don't like this stage where people cannot not tell if you are pregnant or just put on some weight. Oh well, there is not much you can do about it. Kenadee is so excited to be a big sister, she tells me everyday that it is going to be a "baby sister".

Time out for Women!

Today my mom sister, her baby Rylee and I drove up to Logan, Utah today for Time out for Women. We had SO MUCH fun. Our wonderful husbands stayed home to watch the kids cause kids are not allowed unless they are nursing which is why Rylee came. We left about 6:00 this morning and got to Logan around 7:30. We listened to amazing speakers, heard great music and ate good food. If you ever have a chance to go jump on it. All 3 of us came home wanting to be better wives, mothers, friends and people.

I had so much fun spending time with my mom and sister though we missed the rest of the girls in our family (Danielle and Jenn). We always have TONS of fun together.

Joy school

Kenadee started Joy School today. She was so excited to go. It was sharing day so she got to bring something to share and of sourse she brought her Cinderella doll. She was so cute she really wanted to take her back pack with her. I love her so much!

Fancy Nancy Birthday Party!

Kenadee was invited to a Fancy Nancy Birthday party for a little girl inour neighborhood. She was so excited everyday she asked me that day was the "Fancy Birthday" and if she could wear her "fancy dress" so of course on saturday morning when she woke up she was super excited cause that was the day she got to dress up. She got to wear make up and everything.

Hair cut

It took Kenadee to this place called Cookie Cutters (it is a hair salon for kids and it is way cute). Kenadee was so good and had a lot of fun. It got cut a little to short for what I wanted and I am not a fan of the bangs but she still looks adorable.

Park City!

Some friends of ours have a time share in Park City. They could only use it for like 4 days so they asked if we wanted to use it for the other 4 days, of course we sayed yes. We had so much fun. My sister came up with her family and stayed two nights and my parents came up and stayed one night. It was lots of fun. We went for walks, went to the park, swimming, and just hung out and relaxed.

One busy summer!

This summer has been very busy and fun. My brother Matt got here on July 3rd with his 2 boys and stayed for 2 weeks and while he was here one of Dave's friends and his wife and 2 kids came and stayed with us over the 4th. Then Dave Kenadee and I took off for Idaho for a few days (that was our little family vacation). The day we got back from that we had a neighborhood block party which was lots of fun. 5 days after getting back from Idaho my brother Steve his wife and 4 kids came and visited for about 4 days. The day they left Dave's mom Flew into town from california and 2 days later Dave's sister and her 2 kids drove into town and stayed for a week. Also during this time Dave's brother John and his wife adopted a baby (they have been married for 12 years and have been trying to have children for 12 years and now they finally have their own little bundle of joy).

I love my family and I love David's family so being able to see everyone was a ton of fun.

Here are a bunch of pictures that we took throughout the summer.

The wonderful world of potty training

About 4 months ago I posted that we had bought a potty training chair for Kenadee. She liked it for the first two days and then did not really care for it. I was being kinda lazy and not really wanting to do it. I kept going back and forth with it and not being real commited. Finally I pulled my self together and decided that I just needed to do it and I am proud to say it has paid off! Kenadee is offically potty trained!!! I am so happy, of course we have accidents but that is expected and she does wear diapers for nap time and bed time. I can take her out in public and she does fine. This morning Kenadee took her self to the bathroom and wiped herself and everything. That was very exciting!

SHE IS HERE!!!

Rylee Nicole Colon was born at 2:55 pm today (July 11, 2008). She weighed 7lbs 3 oz and 20 1/2 in. long. She has got ALOT beautiful black hair and it has a slight curl. She is so cute! Mom and baby are doing well. Alicia got the baby out in a push and half (actually she was clearing her throat and the babies head came out so really she only pushed once).

Her brothers are so excited for her to be here. They could not give her enough kisses.

Can you tell Kenadee got a little bored at the hospital.(She is not sleeping in the picture she is just being silly)

Baby Rylee hours old. We thought the headband was so cute that we had to put it on her for the picture.

Aunt Brittnee, Rylee and proud mommy Alicia with her precious baby girl!

I Love My Family!

This week for FHE we went took Kenadee to Temple Square and she loved it. I love going there. When Dave and I lived in Salt Lake we lived really close to Temple Square so we would go there often, but of course since we have moved away we don't go as much.

I love my little family so much and love spending time with them. I have come across to blogs in the past few weeks that are really sad. Both families lost their babies to a tragic accident. As I have read their blogs I have been so touched and have been reminded of what is important in life and to not take the days and moments I have with my family for granted. I am grateful for my testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and for the peace and joy it brings to my life. I find great joy and comfort in knowing that I can be with Dave and Kenadee for eternity.
As I have read these blogs I am working on being more positive when Kenadee cries in the middle of the night. Instead of being irritated I try to find joy in hearing her cry and express grated to my Heavenly Father for giving me another day with her and then I go in her room hold her sing her a song and take another opportunity to tell her how much I love her.

There really is no greater joy than motherhood ( I love being a wife as well, I have the best husband but there is so much fulfillment in motherhood). I am so blessed!

Princesses

Kenadee has just recently discovered the disney princesses and she loves them, she cannot get enough of them. She needed a new bathing suit so I took her to Target to let her pick out a bathing suit, I was picking up all kinds of adorable bathing suits but her mind was set on the pink princess bathing suit so that is what she got. When we got home she put it on a played in the pool and loved it and kept looking down at the princess on it. She had to wear it for dinner and when it was time for the bath she insisited on wearing it in the bath and then she wore it to bed (at least it has been really warm so she did not get cold). I ended up hiding the bathing suit so she was not tempted to wear it every where. Her favorite thing to do now is sit on Dave's lap and look at pictures of princesses. Her favorite movies now are The Little Mermaid and Cinderella and she has princess sippy cups bowls and plates. She also got a princess night gown. I love that she is into the princesses, I think it is so cute.

I finally got it!

I finally made my decision between getting a treadmill or elipitical and the treadmill won. We bought like a month ago. I love it. I work out on it all the time, I cannot wait to see some results, it would be nice to look good in clothes again. Thanks again to everyone for all your feed back it really helped in my decision making.

Beautiful Day!

Today after church we decided to go take a walk around a park and enjoy the nice weather. Kenadee had so much fun exploring. I must say I really love this age, she is so much fun and says the most adorable things.
