Kenadee learns a new trick

Yesterday Dave and I were upstairs and Kenadee was in her bedroom playing, we noticed it was really quite(too quiet) so I went into Kenadee's room to see what she was doing, but she was not there. I ran down stairs and she was sitting on top of the counter next to a glass of water dipping her hand into it. I could not believe it. She has never done that before. She ended up doing that 3 times yesterday, so she is no longer allowed to go down stairs without us. You probably all think I am the worst mom because she did that 3 times. But she would be playing in her room and within seconds we would hear her voice down stairs. Also I know my counter looks like a mess, my sister came over with her kids and we had just had lunch.

Also my sister Alicia came over yesterday with her kids so the cousins could play together. Kenadee LOVES her cousin Corey (he is Alicia's youngest, he is going to be 3 in March), everyday she asks to see Corey and the way she says his name is so cute. Kenadee loves to kiss Corey especially when he is sleeping because he wont push her away (hopefully that changes when she gets older). I took these pictures of Corey and Kenadee yesterday while they were over playing. Boyd and Dallin were playing in the other room so they were not in the picture.

Not a very exciting life

I finally took all my Christmas decorations down. I was not ready to put everything away yet because I loved the way my house looked with all the decorations and I was too lazy to put everything away, but I finally did it.

The most embarrassing thing happened one night. I was watering the Christmas tree and some of the water came over the side of the stump holder (or whatever you call it) so I ran to get a towel because I was not sure how much water came out. I wiped the water up and was trying to feel around to make sure I got everything (we have hardwood floors so I had to make sure I got all the water so it would not ruin our floors), as I was feeling around the base on my stomach I noticed the tree start to move. Well I could not react fast enough, the whole tree fell over and shattered almost all of the ornaments that my mom had just given me this year, and of course, I had just watered the tree so all the water came pouring out of the tree holder. I could not believe it. I felt so stupid. Luckily, it happened after Christmas. That is so my luck.

There is not to much going on with us which I guess is a good thing, right? Well I guess there is something to share, this past weekend David, Kenadee and I went up to Vernal cause Dave had to do some work. It is a 2 1/2 hour drive so we decided to stay the night. Vernal is not a very exciting place at all. It is a small old town with lots of mullets and VERY cold. Kenadee had so much fun in the hotel, the first thing she went to was the phone so we unhooked the phone and she walked all around the hotel room with the phone in one hand and her bear (which goes everywhere with her) in the other. Kenadee and I were sitting in the car waiting for David while we were in Vernal when I took this picture.

Here are a few pictures we took of Kenadee in her Christmas dress before we went to church.

Giving it a shot

Everyone keeps telling me I need to start up a blog so I am giving it a shot.

I love seeing all my friends and families blogs and looking at theirpictures. It seems like such a great way to keep in touch. Anyways, things are wonderful with our little family. Christmas was allot of fun this year, it was our first time staying home and actually having a home to decorate and Kenadee is old enough to get excited about getting presents. Santa brought her a kitchen which she was so excited about that it was a little difficult to get her to open her other gifts.

We have been getting so much snow here in Utah and it has been very cold. Not much else to share right now.
